Sous Chef/Experienced Chef de Partie - Competitive rate of pay plus substantial service charge
An exciting opportunity has arisen for a motivated and experienced Sous Chef/Chef de Partie to join the team at our beautiful coastal hotel in Thorpe Bay, Essex. This thriving hotel is proudly located on Thorpe Esplanade with panoramic views of the Estuary in each of our dining rooms.
Roslin Beach Hotel is an AA 4 Silver Star hotel with a multi award-winning Two AA Rosette Restaurant that is recognised across the country. The Roslin Restaurant is at the heart of our boutique-inspired hotel with our skilful team combining familiar favourites with the freshest seasonal ingredients.
About the role:
We are looking for an enthusiastic and motivated Sous Chef/Chef De Partie to join our hard working and professional kitchen team. Using fresh produce with a seasonal changing menu and an emphasis on local produce. The current menus are loaded with passion, imagination and a desire to be the best dining destination in the area. The food is imaginative, exciting, generous and all prepared on property using as much regional, seasonal & traceable produce as is possible.

What we would like from you:
- 1+ years experience working in a similar role
- Running a section with the possibility of assisting with food preparation of other sections.
- Assisting with stocktaking, management of kitchen hygiene, food storage and supervising.
- Reporting to the Head Chef.
- Working effectively within the Kitchen team to ensure high level of service standards.
- Excellent knowledge of food hygiene standards, checking that all food is stored and used in rotation to eliminate wastage and adhere to the Health and Hygiene Laws.
- Following close down procedure at the end of shift to ensure safety of equipment and security of produce is maintained
- Ideally NVQ Level 2/3 in Food production or other related culinary skills qualification.
- Excellent communication skills and enjoys motivating the team.
