Role Overview
We are seeking a skilled, safety-focused Tree Surgeon to join our team for 2/3 days per week with potential for additional hours during peak seasons. You will perform high-quality arboricultural maintenance, including climbing, pruning, felling, and ground support, adhering strictly to BS 3998 standards.
Key Responsibilities
- Tree Maintenance: Undertake climbing, canopy reduction, thinning, and sectional dismantling.
- Ground Operations: Operate woodchippers, chainsaws, and rigging equipment efficiently.
- Safety Compliance: Conduct site risk assessments and maintain strict PPE compliance.
- Biosecurity: Follow strict tool disinfection protocols to prevent disease spread (e.g., Ash Dieback).
- Equipment Care: Perform daily checks and routine maintenance on all climbing gear and machinery.
Required Qualifications & Skills
- NPTC / City & Guilds Units: CS30, CS31, CS38, and CS39 (or current equivalent 201–206 codes).
- Experience: Minimum of 1 years of climbing experience.
- Driving Licence: Full UK licence, ideally with Category B+E (Towing) entitlement.
- First Aid: Valid Emergency First Aid at Work + Aerial Rescue (Forestry/Arb) certification.

- Schedule: Flexible part-time hours, typically [08:00 to 16:30].
- Pay Rate: [£150 – £200] depending on experience and qualifications.
- Equipment: All climbing PPE, uniform, and climbing ropes provided.
Pay: From £120.00 per day
