About the Role
We are looking for a reliable and organised Accounts Administrator to join our team. The role will involve basic accounts administration, telephone and email communication, and general office administration.
The successful candidate will be confident speaking to customers and suppliers, able to deal with queries professionally, and comfortable using computer systems to keep records accurate and up to date.
Key Responsibilities Accounts Administration
- Assist with day-to-day accounts administration.
- Process and raise customer invoices.
- Check invoices and account information for accuracy.
- Monitor customer accounts and assist with outstanding payments.
- Record and reconcile payments received.
- Assist with purchase invoices and supplier accounts.
- Maintain accurate financial records and filing.
- Provide administrative support to the accounts team.
- Assist with monthly reports and other financial information when required.
Telephone & Email
- Answer incoming telephone calls and deal with enquiries professionally.
- Respond to customer and supplier emails.
- Handle account, invoice and payment queries.
- Follow up customers regarding outstanding invoices where required.
- Liaise with customers, suppliers and internal staff to resolve queries.
- Ensure telephone and email enquiries are dealt with promptly and efficiently.
General Administration
- Maintain accurate customer and supplier records.
- Update internal systems and spreadsheets.
- Organise and maintain electronic and paper records.
- Prepare documents, reports and correspondence.
- Assist with general office administration.
- Support other members of the team with administrative tasks when required.
Skills & Experience
The ideal candidate will have:
- Previous experience in an accounts or administration role.
- Good attention to detail and accuracy.
- Excellent telephone and email communication skills.
- Good knowledge of Microsoft Office, particularly Excel and Outlook.
- Ability to organise workload and meet deadlines.
- A professional and friendly manner when dealing with customers and suppliers.
- Ability to work independently as well as part of a team.
- Good numerical and written communication skills.
- Experience with accounting software would be an advantage, but training can be provided.
