The Rye bakery provide products to all our Jempson Locals, Cafes, Rye Bakeries and wholesale customers.
The Role
We are looking for enthusiastic, reliable, and friendly individuals to join our Café team at Jempsons Bexhill.
This is an excellent opportunity for students seeking flexible part-time work alongside their studies.
About the Role
As a General Assistant, you will help provide excellent customer service and support the smooth running of our busy café. Duties may include:
- Serving customers in a friendly and professional manner
- Preparing and serving food and drinks
- Operating tills and handling payments
- Maintaining high standards of cleanliness and hygiene
- Assisting with stock replenishment
- Supporting colleagues across all areas of the café as required
Hours & Contract
- Part-time position
- Suitable for two students as a job share or one individual
- 2–4 days per week
- Approximately 20 hours per week
- Additional hours may be available to cover holidays and sickness
- Zero-hours contract
Requirements
Applicants must be available to work:
- Saturdays
- Bank Holidays
- 1–2 weekdays each week
Previous customer service or hospitality experience would be an advantage, but full training will be provided. We are looking for team players with a positive attitude and a willingness to learn.
