We are looking for a caring and enthusiastic Level 3 Early Years Practitioner to join the Baby Room team at Elizabeth Saunders Nursery.
We are a small, family-run nursery where staff are known personally, supported by their managers and encouraged to play an active part in the nursery. This is a hands-on, room-based role caring for children aged from birth to two years.
You will spend your day building secure relationships, supporting routines, creating engaging experiences and helping our youngest children feel happy, safe and confident. We are looking for someone who genuinely enjoys working with babies and understands the importance of consistent, responsive care.
The role
You will:
- Provide warm, attentive and nurturing care for babies aged 0–2
- Support feeding, sleeping, changing and daily care routines
- Plan meaningful, age-appropriate activities based on children’s interests and development
- Complete observations, assessments and learning records
- Build positive relationships with parents and keep them informed about their child’s day
- Work closely with colleagues to maintain a calm, safe and welcoming room
- Follow the EYFS, safeguarding procedures and nursery policies
About you
You will need:
- A full and relevant Level 3 Early Years qualification
- A genuine passion for working with babies and young children
- A good understanding of the EYFS and safeguarding
- A caring, patient and dependable approach
- The confidence to work as part of a close-knit team
- An enhanced DBS check, or willingness to complete one
- Previous experience working with babies or children under two would be an advantage, but the right attitude, warmth and enthusiasm are just as important to us.
What we offer
- A supportive, family-run nursery where your contribution is noticed and valued
- Friendly, approachable managers who work closely with the team
- Contracted hours to be agreed between 32 and 40 hours per week
- Ongoing training and professional development
- Opportunities to develop within our nursery group
- Employee referral bonus scheme
We are looking for someone who wants to become a valued part of the room and build lasting relationships with the children, families and staff around them.
Apply through Indeed with your CV and a brief introduction telling us why you would be a good fit for our Baby Room.
