College Practice is a forward-thinking, patient-focused GP practice committed to providing high-quality healthcare across our practice locations. We are looking for an enthusiastic and compassionate Trained Nursing Associate (TNA) to join our nursing team and support the delivery of excellent patient care across our sites.
This is an exciting opportunity for a motivated Nursing Associate who enjoys working in a fast-paced Primary Care environment and is committed to delivering safe, effective, and patient-centred care.
Working under the direction of the Lead Practice Nurse, Nurse Manager, GPs, and other healthcare professionals, you will provide a high standard of clinical care and support patients with their ongoing health needs.
The successful candidate will work across College Practice sites as required, supporting the nursing team in delivering a range of clinical services and health promotion activities.
Main Responsibilities:
- Undertake a range of clinical procedures within competence and scope of practice.
- Deliver wound care and dressings.
- Perform venepuncture, phlebotomy, ECGs, and routine observations.
- Administer vaccinations and immunisations following appropriate training and competency assessment.
- Support patients with long-term conditions.
- Assist with cervical screening clinics where appropriately trained and competent.
- Promote health and wellbeing through health education and lifestyle advice.
- Recognise and escalate clinical concerns, safeguarding issues, and patient deterioration appropriately.
- Maintain accurate clinical records using practice systems.
- Support patient recalls, screening programmes, and health promotion campaigns.
- Work collaboratively with GPs, Practice Nurses, Healthcare Assistants, Pharmacists, Social Prescribers, and other members of the multidisciplinary team.
- Provide care across College Practice sites as required.
Essential Requirements:
- Registered Nursing Associate with current NMC registration.
- Experience working in Primary Care or Community Healthcare.
- Competent in wound care, immunisations, cytology support, dressings, ECGs, venepuncture, phlebotomy, and taking basic observations.
- Experience supporting patients with long-term conditions.
- Excellent communication, organisational, and IT skills.
- Ability to work independently within own scope of practice and as part of a multidisciplinary team.
- Flexible approach to working across multiple practice sites.
Non-Negotiable Requirements
- Current NMC Nursing Associate registration.
- Commitment to delivering high-quality patient-centred care.
- Experience using GP clinical systems (EMIS Web preferred but not essential).
- Commitment to maintaining professional standards and continuing professional development.
Pay: £14.50-£15.80 per hour
