7.5T Multi Drop Driver
Monday to Friday -Start times between 0500 & 0700
Typically up to 10hrs per day
£14.30 per hour, paid monthly
Igloo Thermo Logistics are recruiting an additional 7.5T Multi Drop delivery driver to join our business.
We are a national temperature-controlled distribution company operating across three depots in the UK. We have depots in Luton, Taunton & Leeds (near Birstall Retail Park) and are a founder member of DVSA Earned Recognition
What you will be doing
- Safely operating the delivery vehicle to transport goods to various locations.
- Average Drops between 8-12 drops per day dependant on workload.
- Ensure timely and accurate delivery of products while adhering to traffic laws and regulations.
- Load and unload items, performing heavy lifting as necessary. Handball work will be involved.
- Maintain communication with Transport staff and customers regarding delivery status.
- Conduct routine vehicle inspections and report any maintenance issues promptly.
- Keep accurate records of deliveries and maintain a clean driving log.
What we are looking for/Essential for the role
- Valid Category C1 License HGV license - Essential
- CPC (Certificate of Professional Competence) and valid digital tachograph card. - Essential
- Strong knowledge of UK road networks and road safety laws.
- Excellent driving skills with a focus on safety and efficiency.
- Minimum of 2 years recent 7.5T Multi Drop delivery experience - Essential
- We will accept up to 6 points on your license, but no DD, DG, TT, DR, CD, IN, CU endorsements. - Essential
Route and delivery paperwork completion on PDAs
Shift start times between 05:00 & 07:00
Finish times can vary between 14:00 & 17:00
The successful applicant will be asked to request a Basic DBS check.
All new starters are required to take alcohol & drug tests as part of the induction process.
