Job Summary
We are seeking a professional and reliable Truck Driver to join our logistics team. The successful candidate will be responsible for safely operating commercial vehicles, primarily flatbed lorries, to deliver goods efficiently across designated routes. This role offers an excellent opportunity for experienced drivers to utilise their driving skills in a dynamic environment, ensuring timely deliveries while maintaining high safety standards. Must be willing to Tramp out all week around the UK.
Duties
- Safely operate our Curtain side, Fridge and flatbed trailers and other commercial vehicles to transport goods to various locations.
- Plan and follow efficient delivery routes, adhering to schedules and traffic regulations.
- Conduct pre-trip and post-trip inspections of the vehicle, ensuring it is in optimal condition.
- Load and secure cargo appropriately, ensuring safe transportation during transit.
- Maintain accurate delivery documentation and logs in compliance with company policies.
- Communicate effectively with dispatchers and clients regarding delivery times and any issues encountered.
- Follow all health and safety protocols to ensure personal and team safety during operations.
Skills
- Proven experience in commercial driving, particularly with Curtain, Fridges and flatbed trailers.
- Strong driving skills with a clean driving record.
- Excellent knowledge of road safety regulations and traffic laws within the UK.
- Ability to handle delivery schedules efficiently under pressure.
- Good organisational skills for managing paperwork and route planning.
- Experience with delivery driver roles is highly desirable.
- Ability to operate flatbed vehicles safely and securely load cargo. This role is ideal for individuals with a passion for driving, a commitment to safety, and experience in commercial transportation. Applicants should possess a valid driving licence suitable for operating flatbed lorries and have previous delivery driver experience to ensure smooth operations on the road.
