Job Summary
We are seeking a dedicated and passionate Cook to join our culinary team. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in kitchen operations with a focus on meal preparation and food safety. As a Cook, you will play a vital role in delivering high-quality meals that meet our Children’s Indoor Soft Play Centre’s standards and satisfy our customers' expectations.
Duties
- Prepare and cook a variety of dishes according to established menu specifications.
- Ensure all food is prepared in compliance with food safety regulations and hygiene standards.
- Assist in the planning of menus and daily specials, contributing creative ideas for meal preparation.
- Maintain cleanliness and organisation of the kitchen, including proper storage of ingredients and equipment.
- Collaborate with kitchen staff to ensure efficient workflow during busy service periods.
- Monitor food inventory levels and assist with ordering supplies as needed.
- Help train new kitchen staff in cooking techniques and food safety practices.
Qualifications
- 1-2 years proven experience as a Cook or in a similar culinary role within a restaurant or fast food environment.
- Strong knowledge of kitchen equipment, cooking techniques, and food preparation methods.
- Familiarity with food safety standards and regulations is essential.
- Ability to work well under pressure in a fast-paced environment while maintaining attention to detail.
- Excellent communication skills and the ability to work collaboratively within a team.
- A passion for cooking and preparing delicious meals that delight customers.
- Flexibilty to work in shifts, including weekends and school holidays.
