Job Overview
We are seeking compassionate and dedicated Care Assistants to join our team during daytime hours. The successful candidate will play a vital role in providing high-quality care and support to residents in a care home environment or within home care settings. Duties
- Assisting residents or clients with personal care tasks such as bathing, dressing, and grooming
- Supporting individuals with mobility and daily activities to promote independence
- Implementing and updating personalised care plans in accordance with individual needs
- Providing companionship and emotional support to residents or clients
- Assisting with meal preparation and feeding where necessary
- Maintaining accurate records of care provided using IT systems
- Driving or accompanying residents on outings or appointments as required
- Ensuring a clean, safe, and comfortable environment at all times
- Communicating effectively with team members, residents, families, and healthcare professionals
Experience
- Previous experience working within a care home or home care environment is desirable but not essential; training will be provided for the right candidate
- Knowledge of care plans and procedures to deliver person-centred support
- Familiarity with basic IT systems for documentation purposes
- Good command of English, both written and spoken, to ensure clear communication
- Valid driving licence is advantageous for roles involving transportation of residents or clients
- Strong communication skills and the ability to build trusting relationships with residents and colleagues
