Operations & Business Development Manager
Location: Pembrokeshire (On-site)
Salary: £35,000 – £45,000 depending on experience
Type: Full-time
The Role
We’re looking for a hands-on Operations & Business Development Manager to take ownership of our 3PL operation and support two ecommerce businesses running from the same site.
You’ll be responsible for ensuring smooth day-to-day running of the business, managing existing team leaders, and helping to grow the 3PL by handling enquiries and bringing in new business.
This is a key role working directly with the owner — ideal for someone who wants real responsibility and the opportunity to make an impact.
What You’ll Do
- Lead and support daily operations across warehouse and office (via managers)
- Ensure warehouse, dispatch and customer service teams work efficiently together
- Monitor productivity, service levels and operational performance
- Maintain control of stock, purchasing, and workflow using our WMS
- Act as the link between fulfilment and ecommerce
- Respond to new business enquiries and supporting the onboarding of new customers
- Identify and pursue new business opportunities
- Develop and improve systems, processes, and overall efficiency
- Ensure compliance with Health & Safety and Company procedures
- Create a positive, accountable and customer-focused culture across the business
What We’re Looking For
- Proven experience in an operations management role
- Experience in warehouse, manufacturing, logistics, or fulfilment
- Experience of using a total WMS (Helm) or similar ERP system
- Confident managing people and holding standards
- Commercial mindset — comfortable speaking to customers and quoting work
- Highly organised, practical, and solutions-focused
- Someone who takes ownership and gets things done
