Overview
We are seeking a motivated and skilled Mechanic/MOT Tester to join our dynamic team. Responsibilities
- Conduct thorough vehicle inspections to identify mechanical issues and ensure compliance with MOT testing standards.
- Perform repairs, maintenance, and diagnostics using a wide range of hand tools, power tools, and specialized equipment.
- Interpret schematics and mechanical diagrams to accurately diagnose problems and implement effective solutions.
- Carry out assembly, disassembly, and reassembly of vehicle components with precision and attention to detail.
- Utilize welding techniques and equipment repair skills to fix or modify vehicle parts as needed.
- Maintain detailed records of all inspections, repairs, and maintenance activities for each vehicle serviced.
- Provide excellent customer service by explaining repair needs clearly and offering professional advice on vehicle care.
Requirements
- Proven experience as a mechanic with knowledge of vehicle systems and repair procedures.
- Familiarity with schematics, mechanical knowledge, and the use of hand tools, power tools, and welding equipment.
- Ability to perform heavy lifting safely and efficiently during repairs or maintenance tasks.
- Strong understanding of vehicle assembly processes and equipment repair techniques.
- Excellent customer service skills with the ability to communicate technical information effectively.
- Basic maintenance skills along with the ability to troubleshoot mechanical issues accurately.
- Relevant certifications such as MOT testing license or equivalent are preferred but not mandatory; willingness to obtain necessary certifications is expected.

Pay: £32,000.00-£35,000.00 per year
