Role Purpose
We're looking for an experienced Assistant Store Manager (or Assistant Store Leader, as we call them in our business) to act as right-hand support to the Store Leader in our new Shrewsbury store (opening Autumn 2026) by providing exceptional service to every customer, instinctively understanding their needs and how to fulfil them; passionately contributing to the store’s commercial success; and overseeing and inspiring our Retail Assistants to offer a consistently brilliant Busby & Fox experience.
We're open to discussing full-time (5 days per week) and part-time roles (3 or 4 days per week).

It's your job to add value by:
- Acting as right-hand person to your Store Leader, supporting them in driving your store to new levels of success
- Overseeing the store while your Store Leader isn’t there, acting as custodian of the stock, the caretaker of the team, and the leader when it comes to sales and performance
- Helping to train and develop the rest of the team in all areas of customer experience, sales, styling, products and brand knowledge
- Instinctively identifying what each customer wants and needs, helping them to find what they're looking for (with our top-to-toe styling ethos at the forefront of all interactions) and making sure that each one leaves your store feeling like they've had a positive experience
- Setting a great example for our Retail Assistants by nurturing an encyclopaedic knowledge of the current product range, demonstrating your sales skills and showing how it's done
- Contributing to the visual layout of the store and creating visual displays that inspire and encourage interaction
- Making sure that everyone in your store feels well looked after, whether they’re there to shop, work or visit, and helping to ensure that all rules and regulations are adhered to
- Keeping an eye out for any issues which might get in the way of your store’s success, or which might affect the way that our customers or our employees feel about Busby & Fox, flagging and monitoring them so that they can be resolved as quickly as possible
- Being a team player, it's not just about the sales you make but supporting every member of the team to create their own success and a positive working dynamic
- Being a source of information and inspiration for your team on everything there is to know about Busby & Fox, from sales trends and store processes to our customers, our brand, our product range, our business and our company policies
