Job Overview
Hyde Park Executive Cars Ltd is seeking an experienced, highly organised, and proactive Chauffeur Controller / Dispatcher to join our growing operations team.
The successful candidate will be responsible for coordinating chauffeur bookings, dispatching drivers, liaising with hotels and corporate clients, and ensuring the highest level of customer service. This is a fast-paced role that requires excellent communication skills, strong attention to detail, and the ability to manage multiple bookings simultaneously.
Key Responsibilities
- Coordinate and dispatch chauffeur bookings using our booking system.
- Monitor driver locations and job progress throughout the day.
- Allocate jobs efficiently while ensuring punctual service.
- Communicate professionally with chauffeurs, clients, hotels, and corporate partners.
- Handle bookings via telephone, email, and WhatsApp.
- Manage last-minute schedule changes and resolve operational issues quickly.
- Monitor flight arrivals, traffic conditions, and journey timings.
- Ensure all bookings are completed accurately and to company standards.
- Maintain accurate booking records and driver information.
- Deliver outstanding customer service while remaining calm and professional under pressure.
Requirements
- Minimum 1 year of experience as a Controller or Dispatcher within a private hire, chauffeur, or minicab company (essential).
- Excellent knowledge of London and the surrounding areas.
- Strong organisational and multitasking skills.
- Ability to work efficiently under pressure.
- Excellent verbal and written English communication skills.
- Good computer skills, including dispatch/booking systems, Microsoft Office, email, and WhatsApp.
- Professional telephone manner.
- Reliable, punctual, and able to work independently.
- Flexible to work weekdays, evenings, and weekends when required.
Preferred Experience
- Experience using chauffeur or private hire dispatch software.
- Experience managing airport transfers, corporate accounts, and hotel bookings.
- Knowledge of flight monitoring and route planning.
- Previous experience working for an executive chauffeur company.
