Working Hours: Full time - 39.5 hours per week (rotating shift pattern; week 1: Monday - Wednesday 06:00 - 14:24 Thursday and Friday rota day off Saturday 06:00 - 14:00 Sunday 06:00 - 12:00, week 2: Monday - Friday 06:00 - 14:24 and week 3: Monday - Friday 13:00 - 21:24).

With a Fleet of over 49,000 vehicles, including traditional fuel and electric vehicles, LCVs and HGVs, maintaining our vehicles is a true team effort. - You’ll perform a full range of inspections, diagnostic, maintenance, and repair procedures on a range of vehicles, trailers, and mechanical equipment.
- You’ll work in a modern, well-equipped workshop, using both specialist tooling and your own tools for maintenance and repair light / heavy goods vehicles.

LCV-HGV training program. Royal Mail maintains a range of vans/trucks and trailers and we welcome applications from those willing to develop their skills. If your working background is mainly in the light vehicle sector we will provide inhouse and external training to help develop your career in the HGV industry. (remove if not applicable)
A bit about you
- Qualified mechanic: you’re fully qualified to an advanced level (Level 3 in Light or Heavy vehicle or equivalent). You’ve got your own toolkit for standard repairs.
- Varied vehicle experience: Proven Vehicle Technician experience working on a wide range of vehicles, for example LCV / HGV.
- Valid UK driving licence: You hold a full manual UK driving licence, preferably an HGV licence with trailer experience.
- High working standards: you take pride in your work and do what is necessary to make sure the job is done effectively.
- Flexible to service demands: you’re able to work on a flexible shift rota. You’re always willing to support your team where necessary.
