Respiratory Nurse Advisor
Location: Belfast
Salary: £39000 -£44000 per annum (FTE), plus car allowance/company car
Job Type: Permanent, Full Time (Part-time considered, minimum 4 days per week)
Hours: Monday to Friday (No weekends or bank holidays)
We are recruiting on behalf of a leading healthcare provider for an experienced Respiratory Nurse Advisor to join a growing specialist respiratory team.

The Role
As a Respiratory Nurse Advisor, you will work closely with GP practices and healthcare teams to deliver specialist respiratory clinics, identify patients requiring intervention and support the implementation of best practice in respiratory management.
You will play a key role in improving patient outcomes through education, clinical assessment and evidence-based care.
Key Responsibilities
- Deliver specialist respiratory clinics for patients with asthma and COPD.
- Conduct comprehensive respiratory assessments and patient reviews.
- Identify at-risk patients through clinical audits and proactive case finding.
- Provide education and self-management support to patients.
- Support GP practices in implementing national respiratory guidelines and best practice.
- Deliver training, mentoring and clinical advice to primary care teams.
- Maintain accurate clinical records and contribute to service quality improvement initiatives.
- Work collaboratively with multidisciplinary teams to improve respiratory care pathways.
About You
To be successful in this role, you will have:
- Current NMC registration as an Adult Registered Nurse.
- Experience managing patients with asthma and COPD.
- Experience undertaking respiratory reviews within primary care.
- A strong interest in respiratory medicine and improving patient outcomes.
- Excellent communication and relationship-building skills.
- A full UK driving licence.
Desirable
- Asthma and/or COPD Diploma.
- ARTP qualification.
- Experience performing and interpreting spirometry.
