JOB PURPOSE
Pivotal role focused on decision support, aiding business leaders to increase profit and growth through insightful analysis and strategic interpretation of data. The role supports the Financial Planning process, sales analysis and managerial reporting across the store network, ensuring a deep understanding of the financial and operational performance of the business, in compliance with company policies, standards and processes.
RESPONSIBILITIES
- Takes ownership of the P&L, budget and forecasts, acting as the key link between accounting and business, ensuring financial results are accurately reflected, clearly understood and effectively translated into business insights.;
- Searches for and collects the information required to prepare the budget, forecast and long-term plans, and ensures these are implemented and complied with, taking all business indicators into account;
- Analyses turnover by store, product, category and country (Retail and Outlet), cooperating with Retail Merchandising and Retail Management to align market needs with company goals;
- Coordinates the definition and monitoring of sales targets by store on a monthly basis;
- Ensures the business plan is appropriately documented and communicated, working with stakeholders to ensure consistency with corporate objectives;
- Provides clear, accurate and timely reporting to senior management, ensuring alignment of expectations and consistent communication at all levels of the business;
- Leads the monitoring and analysis of business performance, identifying risks and opportunities and continuously tracking key performance indicators and business trends;
- Analyses P&L statements by store and by area, and prepares overhead reports for the subsidiary by cost centre and cost nature, monitoring performance against budget objectives;
- Contributes to the development of Business Plans for new projects, including store openings, restylings and relocations;
- Builds and improves the capabilities and processes within the finance team, developing a customer-led Business Partnering function through regular reviews;
- Acts as a true business partner across non-finance teams, including Marketing, HR, Retail and Operations/Logistics, translating numbers into “speaking data” and reconciling them with the business/product life cycle;
- Provides the monthly status of inventory position and sell-through;
- Creates ad hoc analyses and reports to support the business.
KNOWLEDGE AND SKILLS
Degree in Economics or related field;
Significant experience in a similar controlling / business partnering role, ideally gained within international organizations;
Excellent IT skills, able to work with different data sources and a large number of software applications;
Excellent Excel skills and strong ability to produce and analyse financial reports;
Commercially astute, articulate and technically strong, with the ability to operate at both strategic and operational level;
Exceptional communication, leadership and mentoring skills at all levels;
Strategic thinking combined with the flexibility to operate as a hands-on team member;
High integrity and openness, combined with a commitment to good governance;
Energetic, entrepreneurial and highly motivated, with an enquiring mind and passion for excellence in pursuit of business growth and success;

Fluent English; knowledge of the Italian language is preferred.
