Dog Store & Spa is a busy, well-established dog grooming salon in Hersden. We're booked out weeks in advance and growing, and we're looking for an experienced groomer who wants more than just a job: someone ready to grow with us, with a genuine path towards a Salon Manager role as we expand.
About the role
We're looking for a Dog Groomer with at least 2 years' hands-on grooming experience to join our team on a permanent, 35-hour-a-week basis. You'll be trusted with a full client book from day one, including some dogs that need a bit of extra patience - nervous dogs and dogs with additional needs. Confidence, calm handling, and a genuine love of the trickier cases matter as much as scissor skills.
You'll need to be:
· Qualified Level 3 City & Guilds, IPet or equivalent
· Able to groom a small dog, start to finish, in around 1.5 hours, working to a high, consistent standard.
· Very good customer service skills
· Confident with ultrasonic teeth cleaning (can be taught).
· Comfortable and patient with nervous or reactive dogs, and dogs with additional needs.
· Looking for genuine career progression. This role has a clear route towards a Salon Manager position as we grow.
