We are seeking a dedicated Warehouse Operative to join our dynamic team. Duties
- Handling materials efficiently and safely within the warehouse environment
- Operating forklifts and other warehouse machinery (training provided)
- Managing stock levels using the warehouse management system (WMS)
- Assisting with shipping and receiving processes to ensure timely dispatch and receipt of goods
- Picking and packing orders accurately for distribution
- Stocking shelves and organising inventory to optimise space utilisation
- Conducting quality control checks on incoming and outgoing products
- Loading and unloading lorries with care and precision
- Maintaining cleanliness and organisation within the warehouse at all times
- Supporting mechanical maintenance tasks as required to ensure equipment functionality
Requirements
- Proven experience in warehousing or logistics operations
- Knowledge of materials handling techniques and safety procedures
- Experience operating forklifts (certification preferred) but not essential as training can be provided
- Familiarity with warehouse management systems (WMS) is advantageous
- Ability to perform heavy lifting safely and efficiently on a daily basis
- Strong organisational skills with attention to detail for picking, packing, and stock management
- Mechanical knowledge or aptitude is desirable for equipment maintenance tasks
- Excellent teamwork skills with a proactive approach to problem-solving
- Flexibility to work in a physically demanding environment with a focus on safety standards
