Job Overview
We are seeking a skilled and reliable Painter and Decorator for an immediate start on a construction HMO project for the next 3 weeks. The successful candidate will be responsible for all aspects of preparation and painting to a variety of internal surfaces, ensuring high-quality workmanship and attention to detail. This is a self employed temporary role. Further ongoing projects may be available for the right person.
Responsibilities
- Preparing surfaces by cleaning, sanding, filling, and masking to ensure a smooth finish.
- Applying paints and other finishes using brushes and rollers.
- Working in a clean, tidy manner and ensuring all work complies with health and safety regulations.
- Managing time effectively to complete projects within designated deadlines.
- Communicating with clients and team members regarding project progress and any issues encountered.
- Maintaining tools and equipment in good condition for optimal performance.
Requirements
- Proven experience in construction painting or decorating is desirable.
- Valid driving licence is preferred to facilitate transportation between sites.
- Good command of English language for clear communication with clients and team members.
- Strong communication skills to understand project specifications and liaise effectively with colleagues.
- Attention to detail and a high standard of workmanship.
- Ability to work independently or as part of a team in a fast-paced environment.
- Physical fitness to handle manual tasks including lifting, climbing ladders, and working at heights.
- Must be CIS registered.
- A recognised qualification or apprenticeship in painting and decorating is advantageous but not essential.
