The Royal Marsden Voluntary Services team provide support to a large team of volunteers across our hospital sites. Our volunteers are a valued part of the Trust and provide support to patients and staff in many areas. We are recruiting for an experienced administrator to provide strong support for our extremely busy volunteer coordination team. You will enable effective and timely recruitment processes, excellent communication, and accurate data reporting to support the continuous development of the service. We are proud of the difference our volunteers make, and the support of an experienced administrator enables our coordinators to focus on their volunteer teams with the knowledge that administrative tasks are maintained.
The post holder will provide comprehensive administrative and data support to the Voluntary Services Team. Your role will be to support our voluntary services coordinators with administration duties which includes recruitment, screening checks, training, referrals, rotas and any specific admin requirements that voluntary services require to maintain an organised and effective service. You will also assist to collect and collate data from our services and support the development of new initiatives that require additional admin support. The post holder will play a key role in ensuring volunteers are well supported, compliant, informed, and engaged, enabling Voluntary Services to deliver a safe, effective, and impactful service.

Volunteer Recruitment
Respond promptly to enquiries from potential volunteers, providing clear and accurate information about volunteering opportunities and how to get involved.
Support Voluntary Services Coordinators with the scheduling and organisation of volunteer interviews, ensuring all documentation is prepared in advance to promote efficiency and a professional experience.
Maintain and update volunteer databases and file records throughout the recruitment process, ensuring all information is accurate, complete, and stored appropriately.
Complete all required pre-employment screening checks, including requesting references, processing DBS applications, and coordinating Occupational Health clearances.
Monitor and ensure completion of all mandatory training requirements, maintaining accurate records and tracking renewals in line with expiry dates.
Ensure recruitment processes are completed in a timely manner to enable the service to onboard volunteers as efficiently.
