We work with trusted fencing systems and premium products, including Jacksons Fencing and DuraPost, and have built a strong local reputation for professional workmanship, tidy installations and reliable customer service.
We are seeking an experienced and motivated Fence Installer – Team Leader to take responsibility for running fencing and gate installation projects from start to finish.
This is a hands-on leadership role. The successful candidate will be responsible for managing jobs on site, leading a labourer or small team, dealing with customers professionally, solving practical issues as they arise, and completing work to the required standard without needing constant supervision.
This is not a trainee position. The right person must already have solid fencing experience and be confident taking responsibility on site.
Key Responsibilities
- Run fencing and gate installation projects from start to finish
- Lead and manage a labourer or small installation team on site
- Plan daily tasks and keep the job moving efficiently
- Interpret plans, measure accurately and manage materials on site
- Install fencing and gates to a high professional standard
- Work with quality fencing systems, including Jacksons Fencing and DuraPost where required
- Liaise with customers professionally and provide clear updates
- Solve practical site issues without constant management support
- Maintain high standards of workmanship and site presentation
- Ensure work is completed safely, efficiently and to the expected standard
- Take photos, complete required paperwork and communicate clearly with the office
- Train and support junior team members where needed
- Represent Green Leaves Fencing & Gates professionally at all times
Qualifications
- Proven fencing installation experience
- Minimum 3 years’ fencing experience preferred
- Confident running fencing jobs from start to finish
- Previous experience leading a labourer or small team strongly preferred
- Strong practical knowledge of fencing and gates
- Experience with quality fencing systems would be an advantage
- Experience with gate installations would be an advantage
- Able to use hand tools, power tools and site equipment safely and confidently
- Able to measure accurately, plan work and manage materials on site
- Able to problem-solve on site and make sensible decisions
- Good communication skills for dealing with customers, team members and the office
- Reliable, organised and able to manage time effectively
- Physically fit and happy working outdoors year-round
- Full UK driving licence required
- Takes pride in quality workmanship and completing jobs properly

Pay: £30,000.00-£36,000.00 per year
