Job Overview
We are seeking a skilled and dedicated Tyre Fitter / Wheel Aligner to join our automotive service team. The successful candidate will be responsible for fitting tyres, performing wheel alignments, and ensuring vehicles are maintained to the highest safety and quality standards. Responsibilities
- Remove and replace tyres efficiently using appropriate hand and power tools
- Conduct precise wheel alignments to optimise vehicle handling and tyre longevity
- Inspect tyres and wheels for damage, wear, or defects, and advise customers accordingly
- Perform routine maintenance tasks on workshop equipment to ensure optimal operation
- Assist customers with enquiries, providing professional advice on tyre selection and maintenance
- Maintain a clean and organised work area, adhering to health and safety regulations
- Use specialised tools to balance wheels and ensure proper fitment of tyres
- Support the team with additional vehicle servicing tasks as required
Requirements
- Proven mechanical knowledge with experience in tyre fitting or vehicle maintenance preferred
- Proficiency in using hand tools, power tools, and specialised wheel alignment equipment
- Ability to perform heavy lifting safely when handling tyres and wheels
- Strong customer service skills with a professional attitude towards clients
- Knowledge of vehicle maintenance procedures is advantageous but not essential; training will be provided where necessary
- Ability to work efficiently both independently and as part of a team in a fast-paced environment
- Good organisational skills with attention to detail to ensure precise wheel alignments and tyre fitting procedures
Pay: £24,420.00-£28,000.00 per year
