As the business enters its next phase, we are seeking a commercially minded Managing Director to lead the organisation through a planned founder transition whilst preserving the culture and values that have underpinned our success.
Working closely with the Company’s shareholders and an experienced technical leadership team, the successful candidate will play a pivotal role in shaping the future direction of the business.

Purpose of the Role
The Managing Director will be responsible for the overall leadership, performance and strategic direction of the Company, ensuring the continued success and long-term sustainability of the business.
Working alongside an experienced Chief Technology Officer, the successful candidate will ensure the continued growth, profitability and long-term sustainability of the business whilst maintaining exceptional service to our clients.
The role combines strategic leadership with hands-on management of an established software consultancy.
Key Responsibilities
Business Leadership
Ensure the efficient and effective continued operation of the business, maintaining high standards of client delivery, service quality and operational performance.
Provide strategic leadership and overall direction to the Company, ensuring delivery of its long-term vision, objectives and shareholder expectations.
- Identify and deliver opportunities for sustainable growth, increased profitability and enhanced shareholder value.
- Build organisational resilience through effective operational succession planning, governance and continuous improvement.
- Preserve and strengthen the Company’s culture, reputation and long-standing client relationships as the business evolves.
Commercial
- Maintain and strengthen strategic relationships with key clients, partners and industry stakeholders.
- Develop and execute the Company’s commercial strategy, identifying opportunities for sustainable growth and increased shareholder value.
- Lead the development of new business opportunities, service offerings and market initiatives.
- Oversee commercial negotiations, pricing strategy and major contractual arrangements.
- Drive continuous improvement in commercial performance through effective account management, operational efficiency and profitable growth.
Financial
- Develop and deliver the Company’s annual budget and financial plan.
- Drive sustainable profitability, cash generation and operational efficiency.
- Monitor financial performance against agreed objectives and implement corrective actions where required.
- Present timely financial and strategic performance reports to the Board and shareholders.
- Ensure robust financial governance and approve significant investment decisions in line with delegated authority.
People & Culture
- Lead and develop the management team, ensuring clear accountability and strong leadership throughout the business.
- Develop and implement a people strategy that attracts, retains and develops talented individuals aligned with the Company’s values and objectives.
- Foster a positive, collaborative culture that encourages innovation, continuous improvement and employee engagement.
- Oversee performance management, operational succession planning and leadership development to ensure long-term organisational resilience.
Governance
- Develop and maintain effective relationships with shareholders, providing clear communication on business performance, strategy and key developments.
- Promote high standards of corporate governance, ensuring the Company operates with integrity, transparency and accountability.
- Provide timely and effective reporting to the Board and shareholders, supporting informed decision-making and strategic oversight.
- Ensure appropriate governance, financial controls and compliance arrangements are maintained across the business.
Essential Experience
The successful candidate should be able to demonstrate:
- A proven track record in a leadership role within a software, technology or professional services business.
- Strong commercial acumen, including pricing, contract negotiation and client relationship management.
- Experience leading and developing professional teams.
- Confidence presenting to Boards, shareholders and clients.
Experience within financial services, fintech, regtech or other regulated technology sectors would be advantageous.

Reward Package
The successful candidate will receive a competitive executive remuneration package comprising:
- Competitive base salary.
- Performance-related annual bonus.
- Flexible working arrangements, whilst recognising the leadership responsibilities of the role.
Pay: £60,000.00-£90,000.00 per year
