The ideal candidate is a reliable and safety‑focused warehouse professional with proven experience in goods-in, picking, packing, and container unloading within a fast‑paced logistics or distribution environment. They are confident handling stock accurately, operating warehouse equipment, and working to defined productivity and quality standards.
They demonstrate a strong understanding of health & safety practices, manual handling techniques, and compliance requirements, and take personal responsibility for maintaining a clean, organised, and hazard‑free working environment. The candidate is detail‑oriented, able to follow systems and procedures closely, and proactive in identifying stock discrepancies, damages, or potential risks. Also ensures that the company operates in line with all legal requirements always including Health & Safety and General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR) requirements.
Hours of Work:
Week 1 - Monday to Friday 6am - 2pm
Friday 6am - 2:30pm
Week 2 - Monday to Thursday 1pm - 10pm
Key Responsibilities:
Warehouse Operator Responsibilities
- Receive, check, and store incoming goods accurately
- Maintain inventory records (manual or using warehouse systems)
- Operate equipment such as pallet trucks, forklifts, or scanners
- Ensure the warehouse is clean, organised, and safe
- Follow health & safety procedures at all times
- Assist with stock counts and audits
- Load and dispatch goods according to schedules
Picker / Packer Responsibilities
- Pick products from shelves based on order lists or scanner instructions
- Pack items securely to prevent damage during transit
- Label packages correctly and prepare them for shipment
- Check order accuracy before dispatch
- Meet daily picking targets and productivity standards
- Report stock shortages or damaged goods
- Work efficiently in fast-paced environments
Container Unloading Responsibilities
- Unload goods from shipping containers manually or with equipment
- Sort and move stock to designated storage areas
- Inspect goods for damage or discrepancies
- Handle heavy lifting safely and follow manual handling guidelines
- Work as part of a team to unload containers quickly and safely
- Keep unloading areas clear and hazard-free
