SolarFrame Direct is Yorkshire’s leading distributor and installer of home improvement products.
As Build Manager, you are responsible for ensuring all Build stages of Projects are completed to a high standard, that they meet regulations, are structurally suitable and are ready for the Installation stage. You will assess and guide Build Teams to ensure quality and standards, liaise with regulators and provide design advice to surveyors.
You will also complete inspections where required.
Responsibilities include:
- Site Visits: Complete site visits to ensure progress and quality. Prioritising complex builds, new Build Teams and high monetary values.
- Design Reviews: Check Build Survey’s as requested for compliance and possibility. Provide resolutions to design issues to satisfy the customer, builders and regulators.
- Planning & Building Regs: Ensure ALL Builds comply with any Planning conditions and all applicable Building Regulations.
- Costs Management: Problem solve to reduce the requirements for additional costs on active Projects.
- Build Team Management: Work with new and existing Build Teams to ensure competence, compliance, site Health & Safety and high quality finishes on projects. Set minimum standard requirements.
- Technical Surveying: Complete visits to new customers, to complete detailed Technical Survey’s based upon the Sales Contract. Complete all documentation and reports to a high standard in the specified time frame.
- Recruitment: Review, recommend and interview potential build teams and become their lead when onboarded to ensure continuity of quality work from the outset.
- Support: Provide advice to in-house and external teams both prior and post build on related issues and queries.
Candidate Profile:
We are looking for a hands-on, detail-oriented individual who thrives in a fast-paced, installations environment. You will be capable of handling multiple priorities while maintaining a high level of organisation and professionalism.
Essential Requirements:
- Previous experience with Build Projects, including; Conservatories and Single-Storey Extensions.
- Technical expertise and people management
- Construction knowledge
- Health and Safety and CDM knowledge
- Famililar with MS Office
- Intermediate+ IT skills
- Driving for work
- Knowledge of various trades, predominently Builders
- Completing Site Inspections
