Overview
We are seeking an experienced and dynamic General Manager (Pub) to oversee daily operations of our bustling pub. The ideal candidate will possess strong leadership skills, extensive hospitality experience, and a passion for delivering exceptional customer service. This role involves managing a diverse team, ensuring food safety standards, and maintaining high-quality service in a fast-paced environment. The successful applicant will play a pivotal role in creating a welcoming atmosphere, driving sales, and ensuring the smooth running of all aspects of the pub’s operations.
Responsibilities
- Lead and supervise all pub staff, including bar staff, kitchen personnel, and serving staff, fostering a positive team environment.
- Oversee food preparation and cooking processes to ensure quality standards are met consistently.
- Manage daily operations, including opening and closing procedures, stock control, and financial transactions.
- Ensure compliance with food safety regulations and maintain high standards of hygiene across all areas.
- Develop and implement marketing strategies to attract new customers and retain existing patrons.
- Organise staff rotas, manage labour costs, and optimise resource allocation for efficient service delivery.
- Monitor customer feedback and resolve any issues promptly to guarantee excellent service experiences.
- Coordinate with suppliers for procurement of food, beverages, and other supplies while maintaining budget controls.
- Promote a safe working environment by adhering to health and safety regulations at all times.
- Organise special events or promotions to enhance the pub’s profile within the community.
Qualifications
- Proven supervising experience within hospitality or restaurant settings, ideally within a pub environment.
- Extensive restaurant experience with knowledge of food production, food safety standards, and kitchen operations.
- Strong team management skills with the ability to motivate staff and foster teamwork.
- Experience in food preparation, cooking, serving, or barista duties is advantageous.
- Leadership qualities with excellent organisational skills and attention to detail.
- Knowledge of hospitality regulations, including food safety legislation.
- Previous experience in hotel or culinary environments is desirable but not essential.

Pay: £35,000.00-£40,000.00 per year
