Job Overview
We are seeking a dynamic and reliable Assistant Manager to join our hospitality team. The ideal candidate will possess strong leadership skills and a background in food service, with experience in supervising teams within a restaurant, hotel, or similar environment. This role involves supporting the management team in day-to-day operations, ensuring exceptional customer service, and maintaining high standards of food safety and quality. The Assistant Manager will play a vital part in fostering a positive work environment and delivering outstanding guest experiences.
Responsibilities
- Oversee daily restaurant and accommodation operations to ensure smooth functioning and high standards of service
- Supervise and support staff, including serving, food preparation, and kitchen teams
- Assist in training new team members and providing ongoing coaching to existing staff
- Ensure compliance with food safety regulations and health & safety policies
- Manage customer relations, addressing complaints promptly and professionally
- Coordinate food production and ensure timely delivery of orders
- Support inventory management, including stock control and ordering supplies
- Uphold hospitality standards by maintaining a welcoming environment for guests and visitors
Experience
- Proven supervisory experience within the hospitality industry, ideally in restaurants or hotels
- Knowledge of food preparation, cooking techniques, and food safety protocols
- Experience in team management, demonstrating leadership qualities and excellent communication skills
- Familiarity with restaurant operations, including serving, food production, and kitchen procedures
- Previous roles involving culinary experience or hospitality service are highly desirable
- Barista experience or background in food service roles such as serving or hotel work is advantageous
- Strong organisational skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities effectively
