Job Overview
We are seeking a passionate and dedicated Piano / Singing Teacher to join our vibrant music team. We're one of the leading schools in our area and are growing fast!
Pay is £30 per hour. We do all marketing and diary management for you, so you simply turn up and teach.
Hours will taper up over time - we are growing fast and have students waiting to put in your diary. We are looking for someone willing to commit at least 3-4 days a week.
Ability to teach both is preferred, but Piano is necessary.
You will need to drive for this role due to our academy's location.
Duties
- Design and deliver customised piano and singing lessons tailored to individual student needs and goals.
- Prepare students for performances, examinations, and auditions by providing structured guidance and practice techniques.
- Monitor student progress regularly, offering constructive feedback to encourage improvement and confidence.
- Maintain a positive and motivating learning environment that promotes musical growth and enjoyment.
- Assist in organising recitals, workshops, or community events to showcase student achievements.
Experience
- Proven experience in teaching piano and/or singing, with a strong portfolio of successful student development.
- Formal qualifications in music or vocal training are preferred but not essential if accompanied by demonstrable teaching expertise.
- Excellent communication skills with the ability to motivate students across diverse age groups.
- Knowledge of music theory, sight-reading, ear training, and performance techniques.
- Ability to adapt teaching styles to suit individual learning preferences and levels of ability.
