Stewart Precision Metals provide laser cutting, folding and fabrication services to a range of industries across the UK from our centrally located facility in the heart of Glasgow.
We’re looking to expand our team to include an experienced Sales / Production Engineer who will be based within our office in the east end of Glasgow. The ideal candidate will have experience using CAD software creating 2D drawings and 3D models from sheet metal and sections as well as experience using ERP / Job Management systems. Good communication skills to deal with customer queries and suppliers.
This is a fantastic opportunity for a highly skilled and experienced Sales / Production Engineer to join our office and take the day to day operational performance of the team to the next level.
Required skills and experience:
· Knowledge and experience using SolidWorks or similar.
· To be able to confidently and accurately interpret Client designs, drawings, sketches and specifications.
· To be able to produce drawings and work instructions.
· To confidently liaise with Client representatives as well as Drawing Office, Workshop staff and suppliers.
· To have a good understanding of general engineering principles of sheet metal fabrication.
· To have a basic understanding of the operation of machinery used in metal fabrication processes.
· To be able to estimate work duration and work to agreed schedules.
