The Major Projects Team is seeking an enthusiastic, motivated, and collaborative professional with strong design and technical abilities to join our busy and growing department. This key role includes leading and managing construction projects and providing essential support to the Principal Architectural Technologist and Major Projects Team Manager.
This is an excellent opportunity to contribute to a diverse portfolio of Architectural Design and Construction Management work. The team is currently delivering a range of exciting schemes, including new schools, childcare facilities, and other strategic projects across the authority. With a strong pipeline of upcoming work, the department is committed to providing high quality, sustainable assets for the future.
We are looking for a team player who is also confident working independently when required. You will bring exceptional design, technical, and presentation skills, and be capable of leading design teams on large scale, multi million pound projects. A passion for good design is essential, along with a strong knowledge of the CDM Regulations and proven experience as a Principal Designer. Experience in carbon reduction methodologies is vital, with an emphasis on achieving Net Zero Carbon standards for new assets. A solid understanding with demonstrable experience of delivering projects under JCT traditional building contracts is also required.

This role offers a predominantly hybrid/remote working arrangement, although you will be expected to attend the office when necessary and undertake site or client visits where required.
