Help Shape the Future of Community Sport in Fife
Sport clubs play a vital role in bringing people together, improving health and wellbeing, and creating stronger, more connected communities.
We're looking for an enthusiastic and motivated Active Communities Officer with a focus on local Club Development
to help unlock the full potential of community sport across Fife.
This exciting role will support local sports clubs to grow, adapt and thrive, ensuring they are well positioned to meet the needs of their communities now and in the future.
Working closely with clubs, volunteers, Community Sport Hubs and national partners, you'll help create more inclusive, sustainable opportunities for people of all ages and backgrounds to participate in sport and physical activity.
This is a unique opportunity to make a lasting difference by strengthening community organisations, tackling inequalities and helping local clubs become key contributors to healthier, more active communities.
As part of the Active Communities team, you will lead and coordinate a programme of club development support across Fife.
You will work directly with sports clubs and community organisations to identify opportunities for growth, strengthen organisational capacity and improve long-term sustainability. Through strong partnership working, you will connect clubs with local and national opportunities, helping them access the support, resources and networks they need to succeed.
Using data, local insight and community engagement, you will ensure support is targeted where it can have the greatest impact, particularly within communities experiencing the greatest inequalities.
No two days will be the same. Whether you're working alongside volunteers to strengthen governance, developing partnerships with schools and Community Sport Hubs, or helping clubs demonstrate their social impact, you'll play a central role in shaping the future of community sport across Fife.
We're seeking someone who is passionate about community development and understands the important role that sport and physical activity can play in improving lives.
You will have experience of working with sports clubs, community organisations or volunteer-led groups and be confident building positive relationships across a range of partners and stakeholders.
You'll be able to think strategically while also providing practical support, helping organisations address challenges, identify opportunities and achieve their ambitions.
Use data, insight and stakeholder engagement to identify priorities, target resources effectively, and help clubs evidence their impact within local communities.
