Happy Days currently has 44 settings in our group, located in South West/Southern England and Wales and is looking for an experienced Facilities Manager to join our growing organisation, supporting the safe, compliant, and efficient operation of our expanding nursery group.
The Role
This is an exciting opportunity for an experienced Facilities Manager who will play a key role in maintaining and improving our sites and wider estate. You’ll be responsible for planned and reactive maintenance, contractor management, service contracts, compliance, and the delivery of maintenance and refurbishment projects across the eastern region of our estate.

What You'll Be Doing
- Lead and coordinate planned and reactive maintenance across the eastern region of our nursery estate, managing the regional maintenance team and day-to-day operations.
- Oversee the CAFM system, maintenance programmes, refurbishment projects, and remedial works to ensure safe, compliant, and effective facilities management.
- Manage contractors, suppliers, service contracts, and Local Authority relationships, ensuring high performance, value for money, and minimal operational disruption.
- Support maintenance, capital, and contract budgets, monitoring expenditure and driving cost-effective asset and facilities management.
- Ensure compliance with all statutory Health & Safety, sustainability, and regulatory requirements, including maintenance of the Health & Safety Register and ESOS obligations.
- Build strong relationships across the organisation to deliver effective facilities services and reporting.
What we’re looking for
We’re looking for someone with proven facilities management experience within a multi-site operational environment, including maintenance, facilities, equipment, and project management.
You’ll be:
- Experienced in leading maintenance teams and managing contractors, suppliers, and service contracts to deliver high-quality outcomes.
- Knowledgeable in Health & Safety, statutory compliance, and regulatory requirements.
- Commercially aware, with experience managing budgets, controlling costs, and delivering value for money.
- Proficient in CAFM systems, spreadsheets, and reporting tools, with strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
- An excellent communicator, with strong negotiation, and stakeholder management skills, and the ability to manage competing priorities while minimising operational disruption.

- CSCS Card
- SMSTS Certificate
- Prince2
- Accredited Risk Assessment qualification
