Job Summary
We are seeking a vigilant and professional Door Supervisor to ensure the safety and security of our premises, staff, and visitors. The successful candidate will be responsible for monitoring access points, maintaining order, and implementing loss prevention measures. This role requires a calm demeanour, excellent observational skills, and the ability to respond effectively to various situations. The position offers an engaging environment where safety and customer service are paramount.
Responsibilities
- Monitor entry and exit points to control access and prevent unauthorised entry
- Conduct surveillance using CCTV systems to observe activity within the premises
- Maintain a visible presence to deter potential disturbances or unlawful activities
- Enforce venue policies and procedures consistently and professionally
- Assist with loss prevention by identifying suspicious behaviour and preventing theft or damage
- Respond promptly to incidents, including medical emergencies, by providing first aid if necessary
- Record detailed incident reports accurately and promptly when required
- Liaise with security teams, management, and emergency services as needed
- Ensure compliance with health and safety regulations at all times
Requirements
- Proven experience in surveillance, loss prevention, or security roles is desirable
- Knowledge of CCTV operation and monitoring techniques
- Valid first aid certification is preferred; willingness to undertake training if necessary
- Excellent observational skills with keen attention to detail
- Strong communication skills, both verbal and written
- Ability to remain calm under pressure and handle challenging situations professionally
- Physical fitness to stand for extended periods and manage potential confrontations
- Flexibility to work various shifts, including evenings, weekends, or unsociable hours as required

Pay: £14.28-£15.00 per hour
