Expected Fixtures: Approximately 25-30 matches per season
Working Hours
- Saturday Matchdays: 9:00am - 3:30pm
- Tuesday Evening Matchdays: 1:45pm - 8:15pm
About the Role
Weston-super-Mare AFC is looking for an experienced and reliable Matchday Hospitality Chef to oversee the preparation and delivery of food for our hospitality guests on matchdays.
The successful candidate will be responsible for purchasing ingredients, preparing and cooking meals, and serving food to guests, helping to ensure a high-quality hospitality experience that reflects the club's standards.
Key Responsibilities
- Purchase ingredients and manage food supplies within an agreed budget.
- Prepare and cook meals for hospitality guests on matchdays.
- Ensure food is presented and served to a high standard and within agreed timescales.
- Maintain excellent food hygiene and kitchen cleanliness standards.
- Ensure compliance with all food safety, allergen, and health & safety regulations.
- Manage stock levels and minimise food waste.
- Work closely with club staff and volunteers to ensure smooth hospitality operations.
- Set up and clear down kitchen and food service areas before and after service.
Person Specification
Essential
- Previous experience as a chef, cook, or in a similar catering role.
- Good knowledge of food hygiene and food safety regulations.
- Ability to work independently and manage a matchday catering operation.
- Strong organisational and time management skills.
- Professional and friendly approach to customer service.
- Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment.
Desirable
- Level 2 Food Hygiene Certificate (or equivalent).
- Experience catering for hospitality events, sports clubs, or functions.
- Knowledge of dietary requirements and allergen management.
