Customer Support and Sales Administrator
About Us
Our business has experienced exciting growth over the last few years, supplying high-quality manufacturing equipment and industrial services across the UK and Ireland. Our machines and contract manufacturing services are trusted by high performance industries - including Formula 1 teams, automotive manufacturers, and medical device manufacturers. We are a small, friendly, and ambitious team who pride ourselves on being fair, ethical, and dedicated to delivering the absolute best for both our customers and our team members.
To support our ongoing expansion, we are looking for a motivated professional to take over our customer support and sales administration. This critical role will streamline our processes and free up our engineering, production, and fulfilment teams to focus on hands-on activities.
The Opportunity & Your Role
This position features two distinct, high-impact responsibilities:
Proactive Customer Support & Account Management
- Respond efficiently to inbound customer inquiries regarding spare parts and support products for existing equipment.
- Proactively maintain relationships by contacting our established customer list several times a year to check on equipment performance and follow up on past parts deliveries.
- Balance reactive tasks with proactive outreach using excellent telephone, email, and time-management skills.
Sales & Order Processing
- Support the wider team with sales and document administration for our fast-growing contract manufacturing division.
- Take ownership of order entry and administrative tracking to eliminate processing delays and reduce errors.
- Ensure customers receive timely order confirmations and coordinate directly with our accounts team to prepare invoices promptly.
Work Environment
You will be based full-time at our modern facility in Redditch (B98 7SN). You will have a dedicated desk inside our energetic sales and engineering office. It is a collaborative, fun, and highly supportive environment where help and team guidance are always close at hand.
Who We Are Looking For
We want to hire a dependable teammate who shares our core values:
- Attention to Detail: Our clients expect zero failures. Precision and getting things right the first time are critical to our brand. (Make sure you mention attention to detail in your application!)
- Punctual & Attentive: A great listener who understands customer requests quickly to ensure we deliver accurate results right the first time.
- Ethical & Honest: Operating with a high degree of trust is non-negotiable. We deal with everyone in a fair, straightforward manner.
- Willingness to Work Hard: Our facility gets extra busy. You must be able to handle occasional urgent client breakdowns or rush orders with a calm, tenacious attitude while maintaining routine follow-up tasks.
- Strong Communicator: Fluent written and spoken English is essential. You will spend most of your day communicating directly with clients via phone, email, and formal documentation.
- Strong IT Skills: Daily proficiency with Microsoft Office (Word, Outlook, and Excel) alongside standard CRM systems for customer tracking.
Education, Qualifications & Experience
Our products are technical, but this role does not require an engineering background (though a natural curiosity or interest in how things work is a plus).
- Core Experience Needed: A proven track record in customer service, exceptional task prioritization, and the confidence to pick up the phone and make proactive follow-up calls.
Salary & Benefits
- Base Salary: £29,170 per annum
- Bonus: Generous company performance bonus scheme (applicable after your first year)
- Unlimited Paid Holidays: True flexibility to remove the stress of counting days. Succesful probation required.
- Time Off When It Matters: Your birthday off every year, plus a guaranteed two-week Christmas shutdown.
- Site Perks: Casual dress code, company pension scheme, free on-site parking, and sick pay.
- Great Culture: A relaxed, friendly, and highly accommodating environment where we celebrate team milestones together.
