Price Fencing and Landscaping are looking for a reliable and hardworking Yard Operative to join our busy wood warehouse team. This role is essential to the smooth running of our daily operations, supporting both the yard and our fencing teams. You’ll work closely with the Yard Manager and wider team to ensure materials are prepared, organised, and delivered efficiently.
Key Responsibilities
- Load company vans each morning with the correct materials for our fencing operatives
- Complete fencers’ material lists for the following day
- Receive, check, and sign for deliveries
- Store materials safely and accurately in their designated locations
- Work closely with and take direction from the Yard Manager
- Support general yard duties and maintain a clean, safe working environment
- Learn and assist in the manufacturing of gates (full training provided)
- Carry out occasional site deliveries as required
- Occasionally need to treat/paint timber
Required Skills & Experience
- Ability to work effectively as part of a team
- Strong organisational skills and attention to detail
- Good communication skills
- Full UK driving licence (essential)
- Forklift licence (essential)
- Willingness to work outdoors and undertake manual handling tasks
Preferred (but not essential)
- Previous experience in a yard, warehouse, or timber environment
- Experience using forklifts or other yard machinery
