The Partick Groom Room – GlasgowPart-time / Flexible | Self-employed
The Partick Groom Room is looking for an experienced Cat Groomer to join our growing grooming salon and help us establish a dedicated cat grooming service.
Since opening, we have already received a number of enquiries for cat grooming despite not currently offering or advertising the service, so we would now like to find the right groomer to develop this side of the business.
This would initially be a flexible, part-time opportunity with scope to increase availability as the cat grooming client base grows.
The arrangement
This is a self-employed position operating on a 50/50 revenue split.
We provide:
- Fully equipped grooming premises
- Online booking and diary management through Fresha
- Card payment facilities
- Marketing and promotion of the cat grooming service
- An existing pet-owning customer base
- Utilities and day-to-day salon overheads
- The opportunity to build a regular cat grooming client base without the cost of running your own premises
You would receive 50% of the grooming revenue from your appointments.
We’re looking for someone who:
- Has professional cat grooming experience and/or relevant qualifications
- Is confident handling cats safely and independently
- Understands feline behaviour, welfare and safe handling
- Is experienced with de-shedding, clipping, matting, hygiene trims and general coat maintenance
- Can confidently assess when a groom can be carried out safely and when it should not proceed
- Provides a high standard of customer service
- Is reliable, professional and comfortable building relationships with returning clients
- Would be happy to help us grow and promote the cat grooming service
There is flexibility around working days and hours, and we are happy to discuss availability with the right person.
This could be particularly suited to an established or newly qualified cat groomer looking to build their own client base from a professional salon without taking on the overheads associated with their own premises.
If you’re interested, please apply with some information about your cat grooming experience, relevant qualifications and, where possible, examples of your work.
Pay: £15.00-£25.00 per hour
