About SPNW
Structural Projects North West is a growing structural alterations company based in Sale, Greater Manchester. We specialise in structural building work including load-bearing wall removals, steel installations, chimney breast removals, lintel installations and the creation or alteration of structural openings. We're looking for an experienced Multi-Skilled Tradesperson to join our team on a full-time basis.
The Role
This is a hands-on position for someone who is experienced across multiple areas of building and structural work. You'll be working on residential and commercial projects across Greater Manchester, Cheshire and the wider North West.
Typical work will include:
- Load-bearing wall removals
- RSJ and structural steel installations
- Structural alterations
- Chimney breast removals from ground floor through to chimney stack
- Lintel installations and replacements
- Brickwork and blockwork
- Creating new structural openings
- Window installations
- External door installations
- Making good following structural works
- General building and associated construction work
- Working from structural engineer drawings and specifications
Who We're Looking For
We're looking for someone who is experienced, reliable and not afraid of hard work.
You should:
- Be genuinely multi-skilled across building and construction
- Have previous structural alterations experience
- Be confident with brickwork and blockwork
- Have experience installing steels, RSJs and lintels
- Have experience removing chimney breasts
- Understand temporary support and structural works
- Be comfortable working on occupied residential properties
- Take pride in producing a clean, professional finish
- Be reliable and punctual
- Work well independently and as part of a team
- Be comfortable with physically demanding work
- Be based within reasonable travelling distance of Sale, Greater Manchester
- Hold a full UK driving licence
Experience within a structural alterations company would be a major advantage.
