Position: Trainee / Mate
We are looking for a reliable and enthusiastic Trainee / Mate to join our growing air conditioning and refrigeration team.
This is a great opportunity for someone who is interested in learning a skilled trade and wants to build a career in the air conditioning and refrigeration industry. Previous experience is preferred but not essential, as full training will be provided to the right person.
The Role
Working alongside experienced engineers, you will gain hands-on experience in the installation, servicing and maintenance of air conditioning and refrigeration systems.
Your duties will include but not limited to:
- Assisting engineers with installations and servicing
- Helping with maintenance and repairs of air conditioning and refrigeration equipment
- Carrying tools and equipment and keeping work areas tidy
- Learning to use tools and equipment safely and correctly
- Following health & safety procedures
- Travelling to customer sites throughout Glasgow and surrounding areas
- Developing your skills and knowledge with on-the-job training

About You
We are looking for someone who is:
- Reliable, punctual and hardworking

- Health & safety conscious
- Presentable and polite when dealing with customers
Previous experience in air conditioning, refrigeration, plumbing, electrical work, construction or another practical trade would be beneficial, but is not essential.

Qualifications & Experience
- Previous experience in air conditioning, refrigeration, electrical, plumbing or another practical trade would be an advantage.
- F-Gas 2079 qualification would be highly desirable.
- CSCS card would be an advantage.
- A full UK driving licence would be an advantage.
- However, qualifications and previous industry experience are not essential for the right candidate, as training will be provided.
We are looking for someone with a good attitude who is reliable, hardworking, willing to learn and keen to develop a career within the air conditioning and refrigeration industry.
The salary will be dependent on experience and is negotiable.
