Social Worker - Family Help Hub
Location: Winchester
Salary: £38 per hour

Sanctuary Personnel is seeking an experienced Social Worker to join a Family Help Hub team in Winchester. This is an excellent opportunity for a qualified Children’s Social Worker with experience in early help, family support, and safeguarding to work alongside families to provide timely, effective interventions and improve outcomes for children and young people.
The successful candidate will work with children and families requiring support, completing assessments, developing effective plans, and providing child-focused interventions. You will collaborate with partner agencies to ensure families receive the right support at the right time while promoting positive change and reducing the need for escalation.
Key Responsibilities:
- Manage a caseload of children and families requiring support through the Family Help Hub.
- Complete high-quality assessments to identify children’s needs, strengths, and risks.
- Develop and implement effective family support and intervention plans.
- Work directly with children, young people, parents, and carers to achieve positive outcomes.
- Undertake safeguarding assessments and identify risks requiring further intervention.
- Work collaboratively with partner agencies, including education, health, and community services.
- Ensure children’s voices, wishes, and feelings are central to all decision-making.
- Maintain accurate case records, assessments, and reports.
- Promote strengths-based and relationship-based social work practice.
Requirements:
- Qualified Social Worker registered with Social Work England.
- Experience working within Children’s Social Care.
- Previous experience in family support, early help, safeguarding, or assessment teams is desirable.
- Strong knowledge of child development, safeguarding procedures, and relevant legislation.
- Ability to manage a caseload and prioritise competing demands.
- Excellent communication, assessment, and report-writing skills.
- Commitment to improving outcomes for children and families.
