St Mary's University seeks to appoint a Lecturer/Senior Lecturer in Computer Science with a specialism in Software Engineering. The successful candidate will contribute to the delivery, assessment, and development of undergraduate and postgraduate programmes, teaching across areas such as Object-Oriented Programming, Data Structures & Algorithms, Web Application Development, Mobile Application Development, DevOps, and Cloud Computing. The role includes curriculum development, student support, scholarly activity, and engagement with industry to ensure an excellent student experience and a contemporary, industry-informed curriculum. We are seeking an enthusiastic and student-focused academic with expertise in Software Engineering and a passion for teaching Computer Science. Candidates should possess a relevant doctoral qualification or equivalent professional standing, together with experience of teaching and assessing in higher education. The successful applicant will demonstrate strong communication and organisational skills, the ability to teach a range of software engineering and programming modules, and a commitment to high-quality learning and teaching. Experience of curriculum development, scholarly activity, industry engagement, and the application of contemporary software development practices will be advantageous. For Senior Lecturer appointments, evidence of academic leadership, module or programme leadership, and a sustained contribution to research, scholarship, or professional practice will be expected.
