Overview
We are seeking a dynamic and results-driven Events and Sponsorship Commercial Sales Manager to lead our efforts in securing sponsorships, event sales and commercial partnerships for our events and publications. This senior role is responsible for growing revenue through new business development and account management, building relationships with corporate clients, event planners, and organisations within the drinks sector. The ideal candidate combines strong B2B sales skills within the events space with a passion for delivering long term client relationships.

Key Responsibilities
Sponsorship Sales
- Sponsorship for ALL Awards, incorporating World Whiskies Awards, World Drinks Awards, World Beer Awards, Icons, and Hall of Fame
- Sponsorship for the Trade Conference
Exhibitor Sales
- Sales management of all events
- Whisky Live & Fine Spirits stand and sponsorship sales
- Trade Conference sales
Event Sales and Attendance
- Tickets for awards events in Scotland, Ireland, USA, UK.
- Whisky Live & Fine Spirits, London and other Paragraph shows from time to time
- Attendance at selected awards events
- Amplification awards sales, World Whiskies Awards, World Drinks Awards & World Beer Awards
Sales Operations
- Data updating and adding client details to the database
- Eventbrite orders cross-checked with CRM
- CRM call records logged from all sales after relevant email/call
- Monitoring and distribution of incoming direct enquiries via phone/email
- Joined-up client communication (quarterly email, annual letter + brochure)
- Maintaining sales tools for Anniversaries, Awards Won, Tastings Results by Issue, and Editorial Coverage
- Develop and execute sales strategies to grow revenue in the events and awards business line
- Identify and pursue new business opportunities through prospecting, networking, and referrals
- Manage and grow relationships with existing corporate accounts, ensuring high retention and repeat business through our events and awards programs
- Prepare and deliver client proposals, quotes, and presentations tailored to customer needs
- Collaborate with design, production, and events teams to ensure client requirements are met on time and on budget
- Negotiate contracts and pricing in line with company margin targets
- Track sales pipeline, forecast revenue, and report on KPIs using CRM tools
- Attend industry trade shows, conferences, and networking events to build brand visibility
- Stay current on industry trends in corporate recognition, awards, and event services
- Partner with marketing on campaigns, promotions, and lead-generation initiatives
Qualifications
- 3+ years of B2B sales experience, preferably in events and awards, or a related industry
- Media Sales experience, preferred
- Proven track record of meeting or exceeding sales targets
- Strong negotiation, presentation, and relationship-building skills
- Experience with CRM software
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills
- Ability to manage multiple accounts and projects simultaneously
Reporting
- Income marked up: entries / sponsorship / tickets

Pay: £33,000.00-£35,000.00 per year
