About the Role
Little Lionhearts Nursery School is a well-established large flagship nursery based in a beautiful Grade II–listed building in Harrow. With 168 registered places, we are a high-capacity setting requiring a visionary Nursery Manager to lead our layered leadership structure.
As a manager, you will drive the strategic success of the setting, with a heavy focus on pedagogical excellence and a deep commitment to developing and supporting an inclusive environment for all children and staff.
Key ResponsibilitiesLeadership Development & Upskilling
- Leadership Coaching: Take a lead role in upskilling the leaders within your nursery to ensure they manage their relevant areas or rooms with maximum effectiveness.
- Team Mentoring: Provide direct mentorship to Deputy Managers and Room Leaders , fostering their leadership capability and operational impact.
- Inclusive Curriculum Design: Lead the implementation of an ambitious curriculum that is accessible to all learners, ensuring every child’s unique needs are supported.
- Pedagogical Excellence: Act as the lead educator, coaching senior staff to elevate inclusive teaching practices across all rooms.
- Monitoring & Evaluation: Establish robust systems to evaluate the impact of the curriculum, ensuring no child is left behind.
Operational & Site Leadership
- Site Management: Oversee all site-wide operations, including staffing, occupancy, and financial performance.
- Safeguarding & Compliance: Act as the ultimate lead for safeguarding, child protection, and health and safety standards.
- Ofsted Readiness: Maintain the nursery in a state of constant "Ofsted-readiness" with a clear focus on the intent and impact of inclusive practice.
What We’re Looking For
- Qualifications: A Level 6 qualification (Bachelor’s Degree in Early Years or Primary Education) is essential.
- Proven Track Record: At least 5 years of experience successfully managing a large-scale nursery setting (100+ places).
- Leadership Mentor: Proven experience in upskilling middle management and developing strong internal leadership pathways.
- Expert Knowledge: Expert-level understanding of the EYFS and current safeguarding legislation.

Pay: £39,420.00-£48,500.00 per year
