Job Overview:
We are seeking a skilled and reliable General Builder to carry out residential renovation projects as well as reactive maintenance for our properties. The successful candidate will be responsible for a wide range of building tasks, ensuring all work is completed to a high standard, on time, and in line with health and safety regulations.
Key Responsibilities:
- Carry out general building work including bricklaying, plastering, tiling, and basic carpentry
- Undertake demolition and site preparation for renovation projects
- Install fixtures and fittings such as kitchens, bathrooms, doors, and windows
- Perform structural alterations in accordance with plans and specifications
- Read and interpret technical drawings and plans
- Ensure all work complies with building regulations and safety standards
- Maintain a clean, safe, and organised work environment
- Work collaboratively with other tradespeople, contractors, and clients
- Identify and report any issues or delays to the managers
- Manage materials efficiently and minimise waste
Skills and Experience:
- Proven experience in residential building or renovation work
- Strong knowledge of construction methods, materials, and tools
- Ability to perform a variety of trade tasks to a high standard
- Good problem-solving skills and attention to detail
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
- Good communication and customer service skills
- Valid driving licence
Qualifications (Preferred):
- NVQ Level 2 or 3 in Construction or equivalent
- CSCS card
- Relevant trade certifications
Working Conditions:
- Primarily on-site at residential properties
- May involve working at heights, outdoors, and in varying weather conditions
- Physical role requiring lifting, bending, and manual labour
Job Types: Full-time, Permanent
Pay: Up to £45,000.00 per year
