Purpose of Role
VINCI Facilities is seeking an experienced Gas Responsible Person to oversee gas safety and compliance across a prestigious portfolio of Defence and Government sites throughout Central London.
The successful candidate will be responsible for ensuring the safe operation, maintenance and governance of gas systems across multiple high-profile locations, delivering a critical compliance function within a highly regulated environment.
Job Description
This role covers several iconic sites including Regent's Park, Hyde Park, Wellington Barracks and associated satellite locations across Central London.
As the appointed Gas Responsible Person, you will be responsible for leading gas compliance activities, managing contractors, maintaining statutory records and providing technical support to operational teams. You will play a pivotal role in protecting operational capability and ensuring full compliance with legislative and contractual requirements
Responsibilities
- Act as the technical authority for gas compliance across the Central London portfolio.
- Manage and maintain Gas Safety Management Plans.
- Ensure compliance with gas safety legislation and contractual obligations.
- Oversee contractor activities and competence management.
- Maintain statutory records, registers and documentation.
- Conduct audits, inspections and compliance reviews.
- Provide specialist technical advice to operational teams and stakeholders.
- Support planned and reactive maintenance activities.
- Investigate incidents and implement corrective actions.
- Drive continuous improvement in gas safety performance across the estate
Essential Qualifications/Skills
- Significant experience within commercial gas compliance environments.
- Strong working knowledge of gas legislation, standards and best practice.
- Experience managing compliance across multiple sites.
- Experience working with contractors and technical stakeholders.
- Excellent communication, reporting and organisational skills.
- Full UK Driving Licence.
- Commercial Gas qualifications relevant to the role.
Desirable:
- Existing Gas Responsible Person appointment experience.
- Experience within Defence, Government, Healthcare or Critical Infrastructure environments.
- Knowledge of LPG systems.
- Compliance auditing and assurance experience
