Overview
We are seeking a skilled Pallet Repairer to join our manufacturing and logistics team. The successful candidate will be responsible for repairing, refurbishing, and maintaining pallets to ensure they meet safety and quality standards. This role offers an excellent opportunity for individuals with a keen eye for detail and practical skills in fabrication and assembly processes. Prior warehouse experience is advantageous but not essential; a strong work ethic and mechanical aptitude are key.
£0.75 Per Pallet. Air Compress with Nail Gun and Reciprocator Saw. Blocks and Boards are assorted next to you. Station will be set up to your requirements.
£1 per pallet with hammer and nail if you decided opt instead of using pneumatic tools.
Duties
- Inspect damaged or worn pallets to determine repair needs
- Use hand tools and power tools to dismantle, repair, or reinforce pallets
- Replace broken or missing components such as slats, blocks, or nails
- Sew or fasten fabric or reinforcement materials onto pallets as required
- Fabricate new components or parts using appropriate tools and techniques
- Perform heavy lifting of pallets and materials safely and efficiently
- Ensure all repaired pallets meet safety regulations and quality standards
- Maintain a clean and organised workspace to promote safety and efficiency
- Assist with inventory management of materials used in pallet repair
Requirements
- Mechanical knowledge with experience in using hand tools and power tools
- Ability to perform fabrication, sewing, and assembly tasks accurately
- Previous warehouse experience is preferred but not mandatory
- Physical capability for heavy lifting and prolonged standing or walking during shifts
- Strong organisational skills with attention to detail
- Ability to work independently or as part of a team in a fast-paced environment
- Commitment to safety procedures and quality standards
