MS Webb & Co is a specialist commercial security and void property management company, supporting clients across the UK with rapid, reliable protection of their sites. We install and maintain temporary alarm solutions, CCTV and physical security measures to keep vacant and at-risk properties safe.
The Role
As an Installation Engineer, you will play a key role in protecting our clients’ properties by installing, commissioning and maintaining temporary alarm solutions, CCTV and other physical security measures. You will help deliver high-quality work, excellent customer service and support the continued growth of our installations function.
What you will be doing
- Installing temporary alarm solutions, and other security systems as required.
- Determining optimal siting and coverage for detectors, sensors, cameras and ancillaries.
- Installing physical security measures including key safes, steel sheeting, steel doors and Heras fencing.
- Carrying out maintenance, fault finding and diagnostics on existing security systems.
- Completing installation, corrective and decommissioning documentation accurately and on time.
- Managing van stock and store inventory so that all kit and assets are accounted for and ready to deploy.
- Conducting regular vehicle checks and ensuring your work van, tools and equipment are kept in good working order.
- Making sure all sites reflect the MS Webb brand with appropriate signage and presentation.
- Following all Health & Safety procedures and reporting any issues promptly.
- Identifying opportunities to upsell core MS Webb services and feeding these back to the Head Office team.
- Acting as a positive example on site, promoting high standards of workmanship, safety and behaviour.
- Liaising closely with Operations and Head Office to ensure smooth delivery and clear communication on each job.
About You
Essential
- Full UK driving licence.
- Proven experience working with temporary alarm systems in a field-based role.
- Hard-working, flexible and comfortable using your own initiative to solve problems on site.
- Able to multitask and prioritise workload effectively in a fast-moving environment.
- Confident working alone on remote sites as well as collaborating with colleagues and subcontractors.
- Good verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to liaise professionally with clients and internal teams.
- Strong attention to detail and a commitment to doing things right first time.
Desirable
- Experience with CCTV and access control systems.
- Experience with Ajax wireless alarm systems and configuration, or similar temporary intruder alarm solutions.
- Previous work in void property security or similar rapid-deployment environments.
- Knowledge of basic construction or property services when installing physical security measures.

Pay: £36,000.00-£40,000.00 per year
