We wouldn’t be able to do what we do without our delectably dedicated Loading Bay Team! When it comes to the crunch, they’ve really got the goods when it comes to sending our products out into the world on their journey to our customers. We’re looking for a Loading Bay Section Leader to help our teams do just that, working either 6am to 2pm and 2pm to 10pm (on alternate weeks), or 10pm to 6am shifts at our Corby site (NN17 4AP).
Let’s get a flavour of the role:
As a Loading Bay Section Leader, your job will be to lead, coordinate, and continuously improve how our loading bay teams operate. You’ll do this by liaising and building relationships with both internal departments and third-party logistics partners to ensure high levels of people management, compliance and operational performance.
- Overall management of loading bay administration, systems, and reporting
- Manage team performance through effective labour planning, development and engagement, including 121’s, shift briefings, setting expectations and reviews
- Both attend and lead meetings with internal and external stakeholders
- Responsibility for GMP audits, Health and Safety compliance, including identifying and reporting hazards
Key Ingredients (what we need to see from you):
- Proven supervisory, or leadership experience within a warehouse, loading bay, logistics, or manufacturing environment – having worked with external 3PL providers would also be of benefit
- People management skillset with experience of performance monitoring – probation meetings, 121’s, return to work, development plans etc.
- Know-how in labour level management, shift planning and operational resourcing
- An understanding of continuous improvement principles and how they can be applied
- Administrative capability in systems such as Microsoft Dynamics 365 Business Central (or similar), registers, reports and operational documentation
