Maintenance Operative Blue Skies Stays – Teesside Area
Blue Skies Stays are looking for a reliable and proactive Maintenance Operative to support our growing portfolio of serviced accommodation properties across Teesside and the surrounding areas.
This is a varied, hands-on role ideal for someone with strong all-round maintenance skills who takes pride in their work and can work independently to a high standard.
The Role
You will be responsible for carrying out reactive and preventative maintenance across our portfolio of contractor and short-term accommodation properties, ensuring homes remain safe, functional and guest-ready at all times.
Typical Duties
- General property maintenance and repairs
- Plumbing and basic electrical works
- Fault finding and troubleshooting
- Painting, patch repairs and minor refurbishments
- Furniture assembly and property setups
- Replacing flooring
- Basic external maintenance (e.g repairing fencing and decking)
- Attending urgent maintenance call-outs when required
- Coordinating with cleaners and operations team
Ideal Candidate
- Experienced in property maintenance or a similar role
- Able to work independently and manage workload effectively
- Good problem-solving skills and attention to detail
- Professional and reliable
- Full UK driving licence required
- Own tools preferred
Desirable Qualifications
- Experience within serviced accommodation, lettings or hospitality
- Basic electrical/plumbing qualifications
